| چکیده | ||
| Integrating environmental sustainability into operational decision-making is a critical yet underexplored aspect of new product development (NPD) project management. This study introduces a simulation-based framework to evaluate the impact of prioritizing projects based on green product development (GPD) criteria on scheduling performance. The methodology combines multi-criteria decision-making with simulation; first, project alignment with six GPD dimensions (energy efficiency, recyclability, material sustainability, pollution prevention, form, and style) was quantified using fuzzy TOPSIS. Second, a discrete-event simulation model was constructed to compare the performance of a GPD-based rule against six established prioritization heuristics. The results demonstrate that prioritizing green-aligned projects yields a tardiness cost (1776.6) that is statistically indistinguishable from the performance of traditional, highly efficient rules like Critical Ratio (CR) and Earliest Due Date (EDD). This finding provides empirical evidence that the adoption of sustainability-driven scheduling does not necessarily compromise operational efficiency. The primary contribution of this work is a practical and replicable framework that empowers managers to integrate environmental responsibility into project portfolio selection, thereby bridging the gap between strategic sustainability ambitions and tactical project execution | ||
